Whole House
Water Treatment System

The MP WHOLE HOUSE water filtration system utilizes a "multi-micronic" treatment method. It is made from EPA and FDA approved materials and is housed in a high-impact, corrosion resistant polypropylene casing. It is designed to be the most effective on municipally treated water. It can be used in houses serviced by septic or sewer systems. It is helpful to make sure that your well water is reasonably clear of extremely large particulate matter and bacteria.

Water enters at the main water supply and passes through a high volume pre-filter pad, trapping large, unwanted particulate matter. Next, the water must pass through a depth bed of five pounds of granulated activated carbon containing 1,472,250 square meters of cleansing by using an adsorption process. Fresh, cleaner water exits the System and enters household supply lines. These systems create no waste water.

This system is highly recommend for whole house treatment and charcoal is known to filter many contaminants. It is recommended for cleaner water for showering, laundry, dish washing, and rinsing foods. However, it is also recommended to add one of the "solid" carbon filter systems for "drinking" water purpose to further eliminate additional pesticides, chemicals and other contaminants of health concern.

This Whole House system's filter is rated for treating approximately 15,000 gallons of water at which time the filter would need to be replaced. Water cost is less than 1/3 cent per gallon the 1st year which includes the price of the system. After that, cost is significantly reduced. Average time for changing filter might be about 4 to 6 months. Depending on water conditions, the filter could last longer. Initial purchase includes two additional replacement filters.

Installation requires only basic plumbing skills and should take less than 2 hours to install. However, if you do not have those skills, it is recommended that it be installed by a professional plumber and that an optional bypass valve be installed with it. One is available from our manufacturer. The filter is easy to change and the bypass valve will assure that you will avoid the problem of interrupting your water flow. Other than that, the system comes complete with full instructions for installation and use. Once installed, the only maintenance on the system is filter replacement!

This system is also ideal for many commercial applications such as restaurants, bars, offices, ice machines, etc. which have a need for a high volume of aesthetically improved water. It is common to use the Whole House Filter and the Solid Carbon Filter to ensure the best possible filtration for drinking water purpose.
